If you always leave gift shopping for the last minute, don’t worry. We’ve got you covered. These gift ideas can be bought/made in a couple of hours. And your boyfriend or girlfriend will absolutely love them.
1. Gratitude Box.
Write down the things you love about your partner on small cardboard cards and place them in a little box. They can be related to his/her physical appearance, or the little things your partner does for you (and that you sometimes take for granted). You can write as many cards as you want, 20, 30 or even 50! All you need is a small container, pen, and paper.
I found this cute wooden box in an art supply store.
If you are into drawing or coloring, you can draw something awesome for your partner. Just the act of creating something personal with your own two hands makes it even more special than the typical store-bought gift.
I made this drawing for my boyfriend last year. It’s from his favorite book, The Hobbit. He loved the drawing so much that he bought a frame for it and now keeps it on his work desk.
If you don’t have time to draw something elaborate, try writing a card. You don’t have to be an experienced artist to make something beautiful. Just be creative! Here is another idea to get you inspired:
3. Travel tickets.
This is perhaps my favorite. Because let’s be honest, who doesn’t love to travel? However, you don’t have to break the bank to buy your partner a nice holiday. Even just a weekend trip to a nearby city will make him/her very happy.
You can even check out other transportation options like train, rental cars or the bus. Flixbus is a great option if you’re traveling on a budget. You can often travel in Europe from one country to another for just under 20 euro!
4. Photo frame.
You don’t need to buy expensive gifts in order to make your partner feel loved or special. Sometimes, it’s the small things that count. So go and choose a photo of you two (perhaps one from your last holidays together), print it, frame it, and wrap it up!
5. His/her favorite book.
Before buying your boyfriend/girlfriend a book, do your research. What you might consider being a five-star book might be a two-star book for him/her.
What does he/she like? Is it fantasy, horror, or self-help? Has he maybe already read this book?
If you’re not sure about what kind of books he/she is into, you can always give them a gift card so they can choose their favorite read.
6. Gift an experience.
You can treat your loved one to a Thai massage, a spa day, a concert, wine tasting, or a nice dinner out. We love Groupon because it offers hundreds of options when it comes to gifting experiences. Check out their local deals and coupons: https://www.groupon.com/
7. Treat him/her to a home-cooked dish.
If you prefer to stay home on this special day, then set the environment to a cozy and relaxing night in. Light some candles, spread a nice tablecloth over the dining table, and add some fresh flowers. Grab some food supplies and put your apron on! Make a simple but comforting dinner. And don’t forget to stock up on wine!
Finally, it’s important to remember that you don’t need to wait for a special occasion to give your partner gifts. Anytime is a good time to show your sweetheart how much you care for him/her.
Here at Dressaraz, we wish a happy Valentine’s Day!
